SEAM ALLOWANCE IS 1/4

Step 1:

Cut out your pattern and gather your material.

Step 2:

Cut our your patterns from your fabric. ( if you are using 2 different fabrics, make your cut out 2 brims, 2 headbands and 1 top of each fabric)

Step 3:

After cutting out your fabric, make your right sides match and sew the sides down on each brim and headband.

Step 4:

Use the top part of the headband, which is the shortest curve, and pin it to the right side of your top and sew at 1/4 seam allowance.

Step 5:

Do the same thing, but attach the shortest curve of your brim to your headband.

Step 6:

Repeat the same thing on the other set.

Step 7:

After both "hats" are constructed, put one inside of the other making the right sides match and pin them together. Leave a 3"-4" gap and sew along the bottom.

Step 8:

Pull the hat through the hole, until the whole hat is out. Press the whole brim of the hat.

Step 9:

Top stitch your brim at 1/4 from the brim, until as far as you can go.
